Our Story

Project Saber began in 2022 with a single idea: to modernize language training for Soldiers in a way that was engaging, trackable, and mission-driven. Over time, it evolved through multiple platforms and command teams, refining its goals and methods with each iteration.

After extensive development, feedback, and retooling, we landed on the current version of Project Saber — a self-hosted Moodle-based language gamification platform, built by Soldiers for Soldiers.

Our vision is to create a globally accessible language maintenance tool that is easy to use, operationally relevant, and built by Soldiers for Soldiers.
